We went on a Sunday morning for the brunch buffet and it was fantastic. They have a made to omelette station where you can have anything you want put into your eggs; eggs florentine; the best bacon I have ever had in my life; new potatoes with with rosemary (my favorite); pancakes; french toast; and so much more I can't even remember it all. They also have a wide selection of coffees, lattes, and teas. I definitely want to come back for lunch and dinner, especially to try all of the craft beers they have on tap. Don't miss this hidden gem on St. Augustine Beach!!

Great variety for Saturday/Sunday Brunch. Made to order pancake and omelet stations. Had raspberry pancakes this morning that were wonderfully tasty! Have stopped in for weekday breakfasts too. The Scrambler is one hearty meal. Love the A Frame Datil Pepper sauce! It's great on eggs. Anxious to stop in for lunch or dinner sometime, if we can get past breakfast! Guess we could do all our meals there. LOL. Happy Hour daily from 3 to 7pm. This place is reasonably priced, casual and the wait staff are cheery and friendly. What more could you ask?

Looking for vegan options in st Augustine and this was a cute casual cafe with meat and veggie options , smoothies, drinks, and coffee bar. They have lots of seating and a stage where they have shows sometimes . The food was really good and they were very accommodating to me they said they can add it take away anything we wanted since they make everything fresh- I ordered a regular salad that typically offers chicken and I got tempeh subbed in it was delicious . I added pics above.

Tried out this place since the reviews are so positive. Looking for some good bubble tea in the area. I like that fruits are used for the smoothies and seemed likewise for the Taro bubble (ordered without bubble for us). Different than what we're used to back home but decent! The Piña Colada smoothie came out awesome tho (no rum)! Definitely returning for the brunch buffet, give it a try.

Buffet only brunch. Staff very nice. Scrambled eggs rubbery as was omelet made to order. Food bland & not seasoned well. Price reasonable. Fair place & wanted it to be great. Beach area needs a fabulous breakfast place.

We went for the breakfast buffet, and I was impressed. For $10, you receive plenty of delicious food to choose from, including: an omelet bar, a pancake station, bacon, sausage, AMAZING cinnamon rolls and more. Definitely recommend.

Food was very fresh and staff was attentive and super friendly. We came here with our two kids and there were plenty of options to keep them happy. The kids loved the Pancakes, the omelette were fantastic as well & the portions were perfect. Add in the cool hip vibe and you have winner. Will come back for sure!

We drove from historic St. Aug to visit this restaurant since the menu was vegan/veg friendly. It was worth the drive! We really enjoyed our food and it was nice to take in the beach scene. We sat outside to enjoy the weather but the interior was inviting as well. Being from out of town we were a little unsure of the format - should we wait for our drinks, bus our own table, etc. - and my husband had to return to the counter several times to ask questions. Not a big deal, and we didn't mind. I think this restaurant would benefit from the change over to full service.

Fabulously fresh spinach lasagna. Even the steamed vegetables that came with the catch of the day were scrumptious. The wahoo was a little overlooked but we would definitely eat here again. RW and LS

Just had a great breakfast of 3 eggs, ham, home fries and toast for $5.50. Everything was great, even the service which I wondered about since you place your order pick up a letter of the alphabet to identify your order and sit down. The server refilled out water several times, and we were served pretty quickly considering that the place was really busy. Great people, and really good food. The price was also just right. I will return!

The brunch buffet was to die for! Praline French toast, pancakes with fruit to order, the crispest bacon ever. Plus, Bloody Mary's and mimosas to cure your Saturday morning hangover. The crowd was young and the interior was fun and trendy. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

We only ate here for brunch on Sunday morning and it was very good, probably the best meal we had in a weeklong vacation in this area. The pancakes and omelettes made to order were very good and the bacon was crisp. Also, the coffee is FANtastic! For $9.95, you can't beat it (I think the kids were around $6).

There isn't much to choose from in the way of real coffee shops (or good breakfast) in St Augustine (near the beach) but this place looked promising. I've just been spoiled by good coffee I guess. The 'cappuccino' I ordered was simply blah coffee (not espresso) topped with semi warmed semi foamed milk. It was just bad. (Only the beginning of my disappointing coffee experiences in SA). The egg sandwich on everything bagel was pretty darn good though and I was going to return the next day for it (but they were only serving the buffet)--so, this place is ok with me.

Oh my we went there for breakfast this morning. Lady that worked there made us feels so welcome. She made us feel like we were in her kitchen for breakfast. Food was wondering I had french toast my daughter had waffles she said it tasted like funnel cake.

I have lived in St. Augustine full-time for 2 1/2 years and visited here regularly for 8 years and I don't know how in the world I missed Cafe Eleven until a few weeks ago! I am shocked and appalled that I've missed this fabulous eatery, but happy and grateful that I finally found it! As a person who eats a mostly vegan and always vegetarian diet, there just aren't that many good places to eat around here (don't worry, I'm making sure to review every place I can find that has some really good vegetarian/vegan options!). So, imagine my surprise when I finally wandered into Cafe Eleven and found a whole vegetarian menu!!! Here's what I've had there so far: 501 Salad - AMAZING!!! Avocado Melt - AMAZING!!! Tempeh Panini - AMAZING!!! I was going to try and come up with creative, tantalizing reviews of each dish, but I'm just going to stick with AMAZING!!! because it just says it all. My husband is on his way there now to pick up lunch and I can't wait to try another new dish! I'm sure it will be...well, you know...AMAZING!!!

This is the kind of place that could only exist in a laid-back, Southern beach-bum town like St. Augustine Beach. It serves coffee, breakfast, lunch, bubble tea, beer, and apparently comes alive at night with live music - hey, this place is large enough, and there's a very nice stage! I was there for breakfast. I can't say no to coffee and pumpkin pancakes, and neither disappointed - generous serving, fluffy 'cakes, good coffee. Ultra-friendly service in that beach-bummy kind of way....it's hard to describe, but you know what I'm talking about. Cheery, jovial, seemingly without much care beyond serving great pancakes and what the surf's doing later. What a life. I could get used to this. I should have ordered a beer just for the novelty of having a beer in a coffee shop at 9:30AM on a weekday - that draft Pumking had my name on it. A Pumking with pumpkin pancakes, that would have been something. Oh well. I did, however, order a taro bubble tea to finish things off. Unfortunately, this wasn't so awesome. It was like drinking taro-flavored milk; too much milky flavor and not enough taro. I felt like I was drinking a glass of milk, and I don't think I'd had a glass of milk since age 11. It wasn't icy enough, either. We'll throw out the bubble tea and call this 4 stars. Like I said, I could get used to this.

Great, cozy little place. They have a breakfast buffet on Saturday & Sunday until 12:30 pm. Pancakes and omelettes are cooked to order. Very southern, healthy, & fresh choices. Loved it!!

Tried this place for the first time in years because of the positive reviews. And, I was terribly disappointed. The meal took way too long to come out. The restaurant was fairly busy and I think they only had one person cooking. My sons steak and avocado tacos had no avocado. Must have been a common mistake as the counter clerk knew exactly what was wrong when we inquired about them. The tomato bisque was thicker than pasta sauce and tasted old. It must have been heating all day long. My muffaletta was bland and lopsided with all of the pork on one side in a clump. Perhaps we just caught them on an off day. Yet, no choice but to give them one star for this visit.

Enjoying breakfast at Cafe 11. Wife had the veg omelet - I had the Cafe 11 omelet. Came with potatoes and toast. Good selection of coffee - serve yourself. Staff is very friendly. Only neg was the toast was a bit dry (if you are English it's just like you like it). Nice local place worth a visit if you are in St Augustine Beach

Stumbled into this place looking for a simple egg breakfast, walked out with a new fave. First off the vibe is amazing, feels like you are walking into a friends house. Friendly staff, music posters on the wall, simplistic yet a kick back and relax atmosphere. You order your food at a counter and it is brought to your table, in our case lickety split, that means fast.... I got the egg sandwich with the swiss cheese and olive spread on ciabatta bread, EXCELLENT. My wife got the pancakes, I gotta say the recipe for those are a keeper, large, moist, and fluffy. The staff were extremely friendly and worked as a team. Wish I had found this my first day of visiting rather than my last. I could eat there everyday and would love to try the lunch selections.

Had breakfast here. OMG the buffet has something for everyone and the price of 9.00 per person was well worth it. I highly suggest trying the Praline French Toast oh my goodness. Great atmosphere. Mimosa were yummy.

We decided to stop in Cafe 11 while on vacation - it is only a block from our hotel. The food was delicious and portion sizes were huge, but I'd rather have had a more reasonable portion at a better price! $22 for two entrees and drinks. My classic Caesar salad was so huge, I couldn't finish it. If you order a sandwich, be prepared to pay extra for a side - $1-3. Might try them again for coffee house type foods - muffins, cookies, teas, and coffee items seemed much more reasonably priced.

Pulling in to the parking lot, I remarked that it looked like a 7-11. Then my wife remarked, "that's probably were they got the name!" That may be true, but don't let that stop you. This is a casual, order at the counter and find a seat type of place. Between us we ordered the pear and berry salad, with chicken, the bbq pork sandwich, the spinach feta appetizer, and tomato basil soup. The spinach feta appetizer had too much spinach for our tastes. Spinach lovers might like it. The soup was thicker than expected, but very good. The pear and berry saldd was delicious. Generous amounts of fruit, walnuts, and chicken. The warm thick balsamic vinegarette was very good. The bbq pork sandwich was extremely tasty. Sweet tangy bbq sauce. Good size. The pasta salad side was decent. Service was very friendly.

Traveling from California we found the southern fare we encountered sometimes alarming. We needed to eat something green stat! Thank goodness we found cafe eleven! We've been here everyday since visiting! The green piña colada smoothie is delicious and nutritious and their feta spinach egg breakfast sandwich is great! Would definitely recommend!

So we stumbled on to this place since it was close to our motel. Not sure what to expect, but what a local gem- really friendly people, casual atmosphere, yummy food- I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla and it was delicious-- perfectly prepared- maybe it's hard to believe but often these are terrible-- this one was among the best I've had. We weren't looking for anything crazy special- just some comfort food on a chilly night. My husband had blackened salmon over greens- very good. Hot tea, and later a smoothie with a hit of rum-- the chilly weather seemed far away and we had such a nice time. Felt like home. If I lived here, this would be my regular place. And who knows? We sold our home in NJ and have been traveling to see where we might like to live. St. Augustine is currently in 3rd, but may move to 2nd before the end of our stay! (In case you're curious, Nola is #1, but we want some back up plans).

There are so many great breakfast joints in St Augustine Beach, but this is one of the best. They have a delicious $9.95 brunch buffet on weekends with made to order omelettes and pancakes. Great selection and everything is outstanding, I really can't believe it's less than 10 bucks. I especially liked my chocolate chip pancake and the home fries. Be sure to tip the cook if you get something made to order, too! This used to be a 7-11, hence the name. :)

We had the brunch on both sat and sun. Cool surfer atmosphere. $2 sangria and mimosas were refreshing on Saturday. My wife tried the piña colada smoothie that was excellent. Made to order omelets and pancakes were offered and praline French toast was unique. Had a crust of brown sugar and pecans on the bottom. Nice texture. Staff was pleasant and efficient though this place was packed. Fruit and all food items were very fresh. 5 choices of coffee was nice touch too! I recommend this place for anyone for weekend brunch Here's the kicker...$9.95!

We went here for the first time today for the weekend breakfast buffet. Boy were we impressed! Omelette and pancake station, so you could customize what you wanted for each. And for the buffet, everything we liked, including very crispy bacon, sausage links, delicious fruit, as well as muffins and bagels. At $9.95 per person, this is definitely someplace we will come back to on the weekends. The food was very good, and the service was great!

Cafe 11 has a Sun. brunch but if you want your eggs custom scrambled with add -ins, forget it. The omelet maker said he wasn't "allowed" to fix anything but omelets. Those prepared as I waited for fresh fruit (which never arrived) were scorched, flattened & overcooked. There seems to be a phobia about eggs being well done here. And the rubbery, hard blobs of scrambled eggs in the steam tray aren't edible unless you're an egg-averse four year old. So go elsewhere unless you need a new door mat or frisbee for the beach.

This is a difficult review to write. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. My husband and his grandmother and I came here for my birthday brunch on a Sunday. We arrived around 9:30-10 which should be peak brunch time but the place was fairly empty. Service was a bit disorganized. I ordered hot tea and my husband ordered coffee and it seemed unclear if we were supposed to wait at the counter or go sit down and have it brought to our table. Since the staff didn't appear to be in a hurry to get our beverages we sat down but then had to go back up to ask for our drinks later since they never arrived. They certainly had every breakfast type item that you could want for a brunch yet somehow none of it was all that good. The made-to-order stuff seemed like the best of the available choices. The other stuff seemed like it had been sitting around too long and wasn't the greatest quality. I would rather have fewer options but better quality. I don't need muffin's, bagels and toast. Pick one of those options, make it really fresh and high quality and it will show. Love the overall idea of this place, the interior decor is great. Overall we enjoyed our experience and I really want to support a local place. I would give it another try, maybe not brunch though.

Had Sunday brunch/breakfast for two (Cost $24.). This was the worse buffet breakfast food I have ever had since boot camp! Both me and my wife grazed over 3-4 items we put on our plate and both just got up and left. Went down the road to another restaurant.

I'm from Philadelphia and my family and I were in St. Augustine for a vacation and I wish that I could come here on a regular basis. I order a salad with balsamic vinegar with sprouts (I forget the name of it) and it was incredible. Cafe Eleven made a healthy meal turn into an enjoyable meal that I wish I could make on my own time. Thank you Cafe Eleven for being so friendly and so courteous.

Buffet was good. Praline French toast, scrambled eggs, scrambled with spinach and fetA, made to order pancakes and omelets, soup and even some salad (a plus). Fruit was just the melon stuff not any berries or good fruits that I enjoy. Bacon was crispy (another plus). Haven't tried the muffins but they look good as well! Sausage was mediocre. Very cool atmosphere, kid friendly, nice staff, crowd of all ages. Very chill!

We have been visiting St. Augustine for years (My husband worked in the area for many years) and are familiar with the fact that you almost can't go wrong no matter where you choose to eat. St. Augustine has some really good restaurants. While there this past weekend with a group of friends one of the couples suggested Cafe Eleven for breakfast, stating they have an incredible Praline French Toast on their brunch buffet. I checked this site and Tripadvisor and saw mostly good reviews. So we went and now I MUST write this review for those people who truly know what good food is and would like to know what they can realistically expect from this establishment. Please note that my review is of the Sunday morning "buffet" only. Perhaps their daily menu is as some of the better reviewers claim. The buffet is a makeshift set-up, which would work fine if the food were fresh and hot and good. I observed the omelet and pancake station to begin with and decided to pass. The omelet in progress was too browned for my liking. Instead I picked up a nice clean white Corelle-ware plate and proceeded through the buffet line, which was made up of chafing dishes. I typically take a very small sampling of each item and then decide what is worth going back for. There were plain scrambled eggs and a Southewestern sort which both looked overcooked. Scrambled eggs should be scrambled IN THE BOWL and then the cook must let them set slightly before beginning to fold them, moving and folding...but NO MORE SCRAMBLING on the heat. Otherwise you get crumbly, dry chopped up eggs. Which was the method used here. Next were the home-fried potatoes which seemed to be seasoned well but steamed, not fried. There were no crisp edges and they were slightly undercooked. I took a breakfast sausage which also tasted like it had been steamed but was greasy. The bacon was dark and overcooked. The grits were just grits. They would do if they had been hot. I passed over the fixings for what I think were supposed to be Quesadillas. I could have missed out on something good on the items I skipped but they didn't look worth bothering with. But there was that Praline French toast I had heard a lot about. Hmmm....they were big chunks of what looked like maybe French bread, with both ends dipped in a buttery colored oil to yellow them a bit, and then cooked with some brown sugar. There wasn't a pecan to be had. So much for Praline. And this was a new batch that filled the chafing dish so it hadn't been picked over. The outer edges of the 2 pieces I took to my table were dry (and yellow) but sweet and then you just had tough, day old French bread in the middle with no flavoring, no moisture, and certainly no praline. Before taking my small samples to my table (which we had to clean off) I also selected a muffin from a covered donut display stand. I believe they offered about 3 different types of muffins which they cut in half, which I appreciate since, as I said, I like to sample several things then go back for what is best.) I chose what looked like a carrot cake type muffin because it looked more moist than the others. It was dry and crumbly and tasted of oil rather than spices. Once I sat down to taste everything I discovered that nothing was hot. The potatoes and sausage were room temperature. The eggs were luke warm. Nothing on my plate was worth going back for more of. In fact I didn't even eat the small portions I took. There is no good food on this make-shift, chafing dish buffet. I returned the omelet chef and asked for one with green peppers and cheese. The peppers were not pre-cooked and were chopped rather coarsely so they clearly will not cook or soften during the cooking time of an omelet. And they are just scrambled right into the egg which is then cooked like a pancake....first overbrowning it on one side, then flipping it to brown on the other. The cook uses his spatula to "press' the omelet and make sure it is all really well done before flip-folding it onto your plate. Not a good omelet. Last food comment is about the pancakes. I asked for a blueberry pancake and it did have nice big blueberries in it, but the batter has a very artificial vanilla flavor and is overly sweet. The edges were dry but the center, where the berries were was gooey. I'm so sorry to be negative about everything but diners should know this food is not good and the managers and food preparers at Cafe Eleven need some cooking lessons. And some heat under the chafing dishes. I am not certain what the cost of the brunch was since my husband paid and I forgot to ask him but someone commented that it was $13 PLUS you have to pay separately for your coffee or juice.

If you are staying near the beach in St. Augustine then you may want to try this place out for a meal. I went for breakfast on a Sunday morning with my parents. When we walked in we were greeted by a few of the workers. We were then told that Sunday is "brunch" day. I was ok with that. For about $10 a person you get a brunch buffet. We were seated promptly and directed to the buffet line. This is where it gets interesting. I believe at night this place has live music since the buffet was up on a stage; yes, a stage. No big deal. The buffet also reminded me of how you would expect a potluck be set up. This was clearly a stationary buffet. I walked up the stairs and was greeted by the "pancake maker" (he also makes omelettes). I was able to request a banana pancake! Wonderful. While he was making my pancake I began to check out the rest of the food. They had toast, bagels, muffins, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. This was a pretty decent spread of food if you ask me. I am sure they had other stuff, but I can't remember it all. Oh, yes-they also had a bowl of fruit. Refreshing fruit. I had time to fill my plate up with some other goodies and as I went to sit at the table my pancake was done and he brought it over to me. How sweet! It was a really good pancake. In fact, it was so good that I went to request another. This time I asked if he could put in strawberries, blueberries, and bananas-he did! What a champ! The coffee bar had a nice selection as well and the service behind the counter was great. The atmosphere was a little underdone; probably hasn't been updated in years. I could tell there were some locals in the restaurant and of course there were tourists. It was a nice mix of customers. On my way out the door I asked for water to go and they were very quick to get a cup ready for me! Kudos to them for such a good experience.

My husband and I recently took a trip to St. Augustine and were excited about Cafe Eleven because we could walk to it from our hotel for breakfast. We both got a Frozen Chai Latte, which was on the expensive side, but was understandable. It was pretty good. For our meal, since it was the weekend, our only option was the breakfast buffet. The room was considerably small for it being in a popular area for locals and tourists. We were barely able to find a small seat, let alone one that was maybe a foot away from the next table. The setup didn't feel like a restaurant, more of a last minute decision to throw a buffet at the end of the room. There were maybe seven food items to pick from, like bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs (just like you would find at a free continental breakfast at a hotel). The food was average, however my favorite item was the French Toast bites, they were sugary and gooey. After leaving the restaurant, we weighed the pros and cons and decided the cost was way too much for the quality of the food. In the end, we did not return for breakfast (or any other meal) the rest of our stay. I would only recommend the weekend buffet to someone who has a lot of money to throw down for breakfast and isn't looking for quality food.

This is our first time visiting St. Augustine and Cafe 11 was highly recommended to us. All I can say is....this place was as advertised!! Breakfast: The sunrise sandwich is hands down the best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten!! Great food, great atmosphere!!

Brunch brunch brunch! Gotta love Sunday Brunch! I'm a big breakfast food lover. So brunch sounded like a wonderful idea. I always eat breakfast food so I was happily surprised to see that most of their buffet consisted of the breakfast variety. Such as, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, fruits, pancakes, french toast, grits, and of course bread. There were very little lunch items, from what I remember it was only cheese quesadillas, soup, and salad. I guess this may seem pretty awful for those who prefer to eat lunch foods at brunch. They also had mimosas, juices, and coffee. The food was FANTASTIC. I loved their french toast and eggs with spinach and tomatoes! I loved the ambiance of this place, it looks like they are a great place to hear live music too. What with all the music memorabilia around and stage, you can't help but notice that they are rather eclectic! I will definitely come back to Cafe Eleven when I visit St. Augustine again.

The omelette & home fries were good. Actually, I don't usually eat potatoes, but these home fries were seasoned with rosemary, thyme, etc...so they were really good! They serve breakfast, lunch, & dinner, while offering all types of beverages (espresso, cappuccino, beer, wine). The space inside is open, & tastefully decorated with framed band posters (The Flaming Lips, Ringo Starr, etc...). The music genre playing while we were there was Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding... Looks like the patrons were mostly locals--always a plus. They also have a stage where there must be concerts.

Being from NYC, I'm very anal about the way a café should look and feel. The outside view was way less than impressive but I decided to go in anyways. It's a cute little place, it's all like run down looking but in a cozy, good way. I do know that they have band performances once in a while. Now, when it came to the food I'm a little less than impressed. I ordered the hummus wrap and the first time I went, I was content with it's taste. My second visit, I ordered the same and was really in the mood for avocados and was hoping for some avocados and I got NO avocados in my wrap -_- Not impressed, bro. Salsa and chips were pretty bad. The sauce was like, evaporated and I was only left with the chunks of unflavored vegetables. The spiced chai was excellent so I won't complain about that. Overall, whenever I find myself in St. Aug and want to drop by somewhere for some Chai tea and a chill environment then my ass will be planted in their seats once more.

Ate breakfast here this morning. Had the breakfast buffet as apparently, that's the only option available on Sunday morning. Buffet is $10.00 per person with drink extra. Cafe 11 offers a good variety of breakfast items on the buffet including two types of scrambled eggs, grits, hash browns, bacon, link sausage, cheese quesadillas, and fresh fruit. A variety of pastries are also available as well as French toast. There is someone behind the line to custom cook pancakes or omelettes if you so choose. The food quality was good, the waitstaff friendly, and the price was excellent. The place is a bit of a dive, however, the food is worth the visit. I July recommend a visit.

I stopped by Cafe Eleven on a lazy Saturday, mostly for the boba tea, which turned out to be a boba smoothie. Not to worry, though, because it was quite yummy. I got the strawberry and coconut flavor, and it was thick and creamy, with the only downside being the tapioca wasn't cooked evenly - some pieces were impossible to chew. For lunch I ordered the pear and berry salad with chicken. It was bright and flavorful with a messy (but delicious) dressing, and the portion was generous. Would definitely order again. Another reviewer mentioned the service format being confusing, and I would agree. You're given a number on a card holder which goes to the table with you, where they deliver the food once it's ready. I didn't know if I was supposed to clear my own table, but since there weren't any trash cans in sight, I assumed this was up to them. It'd be nice if they made it a bit clearer.

Very slow service. Took 30 minutes to get two breakfast sandwiches when the restaurant was not full! Food came out cold. Not the "cafe eleven" I am used too. Very disappointed.

Came for coffee. Stayed for breakfast. The frappe and espresso both delicious! The piña colada smoothie also delightful! The acai bowl was refreshing and tasty. The huevos rancheros very yummy! The staff though short handed and busy were sincere, kind, down to earth and engaging. Even bought some of their t-shirts, that are great quality, to support their cause. Thanks for contributing to a really wonderful day!

We were looking for a good breakfast place on the beach. They have a great location if you are staying at the beach and just want to take a walk. The building doesn't look very appealing and welcoming from outside, but pretty neat and cozy when you step in.We got there on a late Sunday morning, when we asked if its possible to have breakfast, the girl at the bar, didn't seem too nice or friendly and we were informed its "All you can eat brunch" and nothing else and we better hurry up since lunch starts in 15 min. I am not a fan of "all you can eat" places, but we decided to give it a try. French toast, eggs with spinach and tomatoes, fresh fruits, baked potatoes with herbs absolutely delicious,I even got a second plate for some of it. We spotted a guy in the corner that was taking orders for pancakes and omelets,so I ordered some blueberry pancakes for myself and omelette with veggies for my boyfriend and both of them unfortunately turned out a disappointment.Portions kinda small(at least pancakes, only 2 little ones on the plate) lacking flavor, very greasy, you can taste the oil(an immediate turn off, especially for breakfast) we ended up leaving half of it(and the wait for omelets and pancakes is 15-20min average). It was an ok breakfast, apparently one of the only couple of restaurants on the beach that serve decent breakfast,so if you are staying on the beach you can give it a try,but I would not suggest to get out of your way just to come eat here, you can find better places in the area.

Cafe Eleven's brunch buffet reminded me more of a buffet found at a cheap hotel, except this one costs money. The food was mediocre at best. The bacon was burnt, thin, and tasteless. The made to order omelets were comically sparse of the mixers.. (It actually made me laugh as I walked back to my table. ) The Fruit bowl was really just a mellon bowl. Seemed they were more concerned about cutting costs than delivering a quality buffet. Granted it was only $9.95 so maybe this is a case of getting what you pay for. Upside the coffee here is fantastic and the the restaurant seems like a cool place to hang for drinks.. Just skip this as your first breakfast choice especially when there are many other options that do a much better job for the same money.

Stopped there this a.m. for a late breakfast. Reviewers have been too kind. I'm from the big city and fairly relaxed about squalid restaurants, but this one should get a series of visits from the Board of Health. Dirty dishes piled on the counter (just inside the front door, adjacent to the serve-yourself coffee stand) left there for the hour we were sitting nearby. And I'm talking about a stack of eggy plates, not some left-behind coffee mugs. Eggs were overcooked, dry and tough, potatoes way too salty. And one small piece of toast. Seriously? One? Scrambled eggs, potatoes and a single slice of Sunbeam toast for $6.95 p.t.? I didn't have coffee, but my dining companion did and she pouted. On the positive side, the front-of-the-house staff was friendly and seemed eager to please. To be fair, I shouldn't have expected so much from a place whose primary identity is "bar-room," though,

Excellent brunch! I do not like the new decor, the chairs are horrible! The staff could be friendlier and smiling more...

I love the feel of this restaurant. Cafe 11 has a unique indie feel atmosphere that I love. They have great food, an excellent breakfast, and a great selection of microbrews on tap. It's refreshing to find restaurants with personality. There outdoor seating isn't the best out there, but they do have it.

Haven't had an evening meal here yet, but I can tell you that the Sunday brunch and lunches are excellent. Isn't it weird how the pickiest eaters are usually the ones who know the least about food? So when you're in St. Augustine beach with friends, you can bring the culinary clueless to Cafe Eleven and everyone will be happy; you won't have to stoop to conquer. Great beachy/hipster atmosphere with indie music posters, fresh food, quality ingredients, contemporary menu, and a nice looking, competent staff who care about the food they serve and your experience. The staff seem to be members of the St. Augustine "foodie crowd." Erica is particularly sharp and very cute, too.

We were looking for a place for dinner for vegetarians (us) and carnivores (brother-in-law + his girlfriend), and this place was suggested. Man, I loved this place! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, it's really cool! The counter and tabletops are all reclaimed wood and are just gorgeous (thought about asking them where they got them!). You order up at the counter, and then sit, and your food is brought out. For that dinner, I got my 2 kids pizza and mac and cheese, and they were very happy. I ordered the avocado tacos, and they were just okay, nothing special. I tried to order a mixed drink, but they said they don't really do those, but made me a smoothie (that was supposed to be like a pina colada), and added some rum. A pina colada it was not, but it was okay. We decided to eat there for breakfast the next morning (since they were right across the street and all). I ordered the praline french toast, and it was wonderful! My husband got a breakfast burrito, and I got my kids pancakes and fruit. It was all really good. On weekends they have an all you can eat breakfast buffet, so we decided to try that the next day. We stuffed ourselves! I didn't try the made to order omelets (my husband did and liked his). I was happy with the french toast, potatoes, fruit, grits, etc. on the buffet. My kids were happy as well. I loved the food here (lots and lots of veggie options), the decor, and the vibe. Very helpful staff, and if I lived in St. Augustine, I would try to get a job here.

Food came out looking horrible!! Quesadilla was burnt to a crisp. Couldn't believe the waitress even brought it out looking so burnt. The salad had a huge hair in it, yucky. Will never go back for food.

Cool little funky place for music but blackened salmon dinner was very average/dried out....Better opportunities for good food elsewhere....

Went because of some good reviews on Yelp, BUT my experience was quite different. The coffee was weak, my breakfast burrito was bland and tough. The staff was inattentive and didn't even acknowledge us when we left. I like to be waited on when I go out to eat, instead of standing in line to order. I will not return!

Woohooo! So glad Cafe 11 is back in the hands of the old owners. Looking forward to brunch next time I am in town!

Cafe Eleven is a passable music venue. Let's talk about brunch. Do you want to eat a pound and half of bacon? Go ahead. I'm really kind of tired of the sh!()y brunch options in St Aug, though 11 is certainly second best. Let's talk about "Pissed-Off Omelet Guy". Why is he so angry?

Cafe was recommended by the Blue Sky surf shop and they are right. Salads, sandwiches, soups, pizza, and a lot more at very reasonable prices. Generous servings by gracious people. Wireless is an added plus. Locals like it. Desserts are to die for. Brunch big; small price.

The outside is deceiving. It appears to be the standard greasy spoon. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor announced something different the moment I opened the door. There is an artsy, clean vibe that blends well with the ocean atmosphere and elevates Cafe 11 instantly from it's peers. The staff was friendly and the place was spotless. I swung through the day after Christmas for a much needed breakfast. I ordered the special Pumpkin Pancakes, a side of bacon, and coffee. The coffee is provided in a self-service bar while espresso is provided for counter service. There were several yummy blends of the regular joe to choose from. The French Roast was nice and toasty. My pumpkin pancakes came out almost instantly as did the most divine bacon I have ever eaten. The pancakes were dense with a bit of spice and were served pre-drzzled with something like liquid heaven (I'm sure it was a cinnamon infused syrup, though). The bacon was crisp, warm, and paper thin served in a portion that I can appreciate- a healthy 5 slices. I loved my food! The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is the counter-ordering. I feel that a joint that wants to go as classy as this one seems to should invest in the staff to serve it. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. Congrats Cafe Eleven for elevating dinning options in St. Augustine Beach.

Though one wouldn't think from the exterior that this would be a favorite, we love this place! The food is consistently good, the service is great, and the entertainment, when they have it, is outstanding. Will add this to our favorites for sure.

Wonderful salads and sandwiches. A party of 6 - including several foodies - had 5 different meals and all were raved about. This has been an annual must for several years.

My daughter and I were there recently for Brunch, and it was fantastic! There were all sorts of goodies to choose from, AND there was an omelet and pancake bar. The vanilla latte coffee was delicious also. Will definitely consider visiting again the next time we're in St Aug Beach.

Loved this Cafe. Defenitely has a Co-Op feel. The food was delicious, coffee is amazing, but I had to have a Westmalle Double with my breakfast just because the serve it. We were able to pick up a lb. of delicious organic free trade coffee on our way home, doesn't get much better than this.

Great little place! Everything is pretty much $7. No sides with the sandwiches like chips or something. Great food though! I would come back!

Great breakfast. A little expensive but the food was wonderful. Went here after a bad breakfast experience at our hotel. The custom pancakes were a real treat and the staff were fun and very outgoing. I would definitely eat here again.

Despite the great reviews we found it mediocre at best. The good: service was friendly and fast, the coffee was hot and plentiful. The bad: food was bland; the pancakes were so tough that even cutting them with a knife was difficult; the bacon was served on a plate in a pool of bacon grease. I'm not even sure how you make such tough pancakes, plaster in the mix? Seemed to be really popular with the retiree crowd though.

Wow!~ Great breakfast - a breakfast bar with fresh, hot breakfast food, plus a small assortment of non-traditional foods, as well as fruit and salad greens. The made-to-order omelets and pancakes were MMMMM delicious. I disagree with what some have characterized as expensive. $12 for a generous amount of food and bottomless coffee, plus all you can eat...and eat...and eat is a great price. Loved it - I will be back.

A favorite for bubble teas and the mozzacado panini! Casual atmosphere and free wifi. My husband and I love biking up from our condo on a night I don't feel like cooking. Get there before 7 sharp for happy hour! Update: Service a little rocky this summer (june-july 2015)...out of ingredients, unattentive, inconsistent with their original menu. Unfortunate!

Probably the worst attempt at an espresso I've ever had. No attempt to get it right, no care, just a meager attempt. Pulled into a used cup left on the machine and then transferred into the coffee mug I was served. Yuck, but they just don't care to get it right. Pastries are decent, so 2 stars.
